Sarah Meade has been one of my sister Lucy's friends, for well over a decade, and has endured various abuse from me, as Lucy's older Brother during that time. Anyway, Sarah asked Lucy and I to her former flatmate at Birmingham university's band. I believe she lived with the lead singer of the above band, who are named named Murdoch (myspace page). They were playing at a small victorian pub venue, on the edge of the city of London in Shoreditch. They were first on at 9pm on a quiet Monday night, and played a set of 6 songs. My mate from work Aaron Taylor also came down to watch, but we dashed off immediately after Murdoch's set, to Cargo round the corner where we tried to catch a free performance by the up and coming Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip (click for their webpage). I had a good night though, and it was another good chance to practice my low light film photography, and I wish Murdoch every success. |
