My mates Pete Clements, Alex Campbell, Jeff Homuth and I visited Las Vegas in order to run the marathon; or drink and watch in the case of Jeff and Alex. I met up with several Antarctic marathon friends of mine, Brenda Topliss, Francis Cignet, Ana Barosa and Jay Walker. All four of which were on the RV Akademik Ioffe, when I ran the marathon on King George island earlier that year. We got the marathon out of the way, and then got down to the serious business of enjoying Vegas, which our fixer Francis, who's lived and worked there for some years, helped us out with. We had an awesome few days, and dined like kings, skipped nightclub queue's, smoked cuban cigars 30 floors up, in Hef's club and experienced the rich variety that is Las Vegas. Though in the end:

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
