Rhinefall and Schaffhausen.
Photographs from the highest plain waterfalls in europe; on the river Rhine in Northern Switzerland.

With just a few weeks left in Switzerland before I returned to England, I was determined to go and see the highest plain waterfalls in europe. The falls are on the river Rhine, and the canton and city of Schaffhausen are on the other side of the Rhine, and form the northernmost part of Confederation Helvetica (Switzerland). The southern side of the falls are in canton Zurich, and approximately 40 kilometers north west of the city of Zurich. My friend Barbara drove us to falls and then into the city of Schaffhausen for afternoon tea and showed me the circular fortress called the Munot. At first I mis-understood her description of the castle, and was set on seeing a pirate ship (I'd only understood the part about the canon's). I'm afraid they're not the best photo's I've taken and I've frequently got my point of focus wrong in the Rhinefall shots; hopefully on my next shoot I'll learn from this...
